Division of Alzheimer’s and Brain Health 

The Division of Alzheimer’s and Brain Health (ABH) leads Florida’s comprehensive approach to addressing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). With approximately 580,000 Floridians over 65 currently affected, and numbers expected to rise to 720,000 by 2025, the state faces an urgent need for a robust, multifaceted strategy to support those living with dementia and their families.  

 Through its various programs and initiatives, the Division of Alzheimer’s and Brain Health aims to establish Florida as a national leader in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. By focusing on extensive support services, advancing research, and fostering community engagement, the Division strives to significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals impacted by these conditions.
