Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program 

The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) supports good nutrition by collaborating with local agencies and farmers to provide low-income seniors (living in select counties in Florida) with bundles of locally grown, fresh fruits and vegetables. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Click here to easily view mapped locations of all of our participating farmers markets and roadside stands. 

In participating counties, each eligible senior completes an application through the lead local agency. In return, each eligible senior receives a bundle of fresh, locally grown produce worth $40.00 from a farmer. These bundles are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at scheduled distributions, beginning in early April, and continuing until November 30th, or until the funds run out. 

Seniors age 60 and older with an income not exceeding 185 percent of the current federal poverty guidelines are eligible. Federal poverty guidelines are updated each year.
